Hike to the 3rd Rutor Waterfall

A four-hour loop hike along a nature trail starting from La Joux, ascending to a bridge overlooking the first waterfall. The route continues across a plateau alongside the stream to Parcet hut, leading to the second waterfall (1850 m). After a short detour, it ends at the third and stunning final waterfall (1996 m).

Two-Day Trekking with Overnight at Deffeyes Refuge

Difficulty: E

Two days immersed in nature. You will walk along panoramic trails accompanied by an experienced guide, reaching a mountain refuge or bivouac where you will spend the night. Silence, starry skies, and breathtaking landscapes will offer an intense and authentic experience.

Program:
Two-day trek at the foot of the Rutor glacier and Bellacomba lakes.

Day 1: hike along the classic Rutor waterfalls trail to reach Deffeyes Refuge, where you will stay overnight.
Day 2: continue to the glacier front, then follow a loop route to the valley and Bellacomba lakes, returning to La Joux via the Centenary trail.

Good physical fitness and the ability to hike for two days are required.

Ascent to Camardella Bivouac and Testa del Rutor

Day 1: hike to Deffeyes Refuge for a break, then continue in the afternoon to Camardella Bivouac (3,364 m) for the overnight stay.
Day 2: continue for about 30 minutes to reach Testa del Rutor (3,486 m). Then descend (approx. 4 hours) to Deffeyes Refuge for lunch, followed by another 4 hours back to La Joux.

Maximum 5 participants plus the guide. Good physical condition required, along with mountaineering equipment (crampons and ice axe). Glacier and ridge sections are done roped.
