Inauguration of the square at the base of the lifts and the gondolas dedicated to the La Thuile World Cup ski winners

On Wednesday, 13 August at 6:00 PM, the newly renovated square at the base of the ski lifts will be officially inaugurated. It will be dedicated to Giorgio Menel, former CEO and General Director of Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo S.p.A., who sadly passed away in 2002.

Following the ceremony, the gondola cabins dedicated to the two winners of the FIS Women’s World Cup races held in La Thuile last March — Emma Aicher and Federica Brignone — will be unveiled. Federica Brignone will be present for the occasion.

Speakers will include the President of the Region, Renzo Testolin; the Regional Councillor for Tourism, Sport and Trade, Giulio Grosjacques; the Mayor of La Thuile, Mathieu Ferraris; the President of Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo, Daniele Collomb and the President of AVID Ferruccio Fournier.
