Up, up and away!
Fly over the highest peaks in Europe and let your heart fill with joy! Enjoy the glorious, unique natural scenery of the Alps in a helicopter, and then ski down the slopes on a breathtaking thrill ride—just you, the mountains, and the freedom of rushing through the snow.Explore unspoilt scenery, wide-open spaces and the natural wilderness—silent as the snowfall. Take a heliski ride from La Thuile and experience emotions that will stay with you forever. An experience you should have at least once in your lifetime, La Thuile’s heliski flies over Pointe Lechaud, Monte Miravidi, Mont Ouille, Mont Freudaz, Becca Bianca and the Rutor peak, offering you a whole host of slopes to ski down on both the French and Italian sides. Helicopter rides for Rutor (3,486 m) and Miravidi (3,051 m) peaks leave from Colle del Piccolo San Bernardo from 1st January to 15th May. However, you will need to be accompanied by an expert mountaineering guide or a ski instructor, and only experienced skiers need apply, as there will be a careful screening of your skills before take-off. Maximum fun with minimal risk? Follow the recommendations of your guide, who will decide whether or not it is safe to proceed. Indeed, sometimes the weather conditions mean the ride will have to be postponed—disappointing as this may be, please bear in mind that your safety is our prime concern.
Valle d'Aosta is the only Italian region where heliskiing is allowed, thanks to a regional by-law regulating it in clearly designated areas.
