Take the Mont Blanc Skyway at Courmayeur to its highest point near the top of Mont Blanc—the eight wonder of the world—for a truly unforgettable experience! Built using the latest technology, the Skyway has four semi-spherical cabin that rotate 360° as it ascends, providing unhindered views of the magnificent mountain and the Aosta Valley peaks, including Cervino, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso. Pride of Italian engineering, the Skyway was inaugurated in 2015; there are three stations: the main one at the departure point, Courmayeur (1,300 m), where you can buy tickets, park your car and have a drink in the bar; the intermediate stop, Pavillon du Mont Fréty (2,200 m), which features attractions including 2 restaurants, a winery, a conference hall and an exclusive shopping area; and Punta Helbronner (3,466 m); the highest stop. From the marvellous terrace at Punta Helbronner you can admire Mont Blanc and all its neighbouring peaks; it also boasts a bistrot and a permanent crystal display. What is more, there is a handy modern tunnel here that takes you to the Torino Refuge—the departure point for alpine and off-piste skiing itineraries including the Toula glacier, the Marbrées, and the 24 km Vallée Blanche trails leading to Chamonix.
