Road-cycling
The Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia passed through this territory and this makes La Thuile a popular destination for all cyclists.
There is a charming path that climbs up to the Little St. Bernard Pass, with slopes of 7% in the initial part of the path, in the Pont Serrand area, to 8% up until the Les Suches crossroad.
These slopes get easier along the “Piano dell’Abbondanza” and get harder again during the last hairpin turns that lead to the Hill, to go down to La Rosière. There is a difficult path that starts from La Thuile, passes through the old mining village of Pera Carà and Les Granges (where there are slopes of 13%), Colle San Carlo (1.971 m), then it goes down for 11 km to Morgex, it turns left at the Prè Saint Didier crossroad (1.020 m), it goes up for 11 hairpin turns with an average slope of 6% and it passes through villages such as Elevaz andLa Balme to get to La Thuile.
