Assistance on the slopes

The ski-lift company of Piccolo San Bernardo assures a full rescue service on the pistes of La Thuile which are open to the public. In the case of an accident the skier must inform the rescue service as soon as possible giving precise details on the whereabouts of the accident (give the name of the slope and for France the number of nearest piste marker).

The rescue service on the tracks of the Company Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo is a fee for this intervention and will be charged the amount of 200.00 euros to cover part of the costs of rescue. The interaction of specialized personnel  will be charged accordingly. Relative information is displayed at the ticket office.

PLEASE NOTE:
From 1 January 2022, it is mandatory for all skiers to have an insurance policy that covers liability for damage or injuries caused to third parties,"The civil liability policy can be purchased from third-party companies".

The ski-lift company of Piccolo San Bernardo can not guarantee a rescue service for accidents occuring on French territory. The ski-station of La Rosière is responsible for providing this service. ATTENTION ! You are late on the closing times of the France-Italy connection!

Skiers going from one area to another are asked to respect the closing times of the lifts at the end of the day. Indeed,non-compliance with these schedules may generate operating constraints from lift operators DSR and FUNIVIE (liftsopen after closing time, overtime for the staff, delay in the grooming slopes, etc…) and also carries a real security risk(skiers still on lifts at nightfall, skiers on closed slopes, skiers heading under very bad weather conditions, etc…)

Starting winter 2023/2024, you will be fined for any such delay according to these rules:

SCHEDULE TO RESPECT:

>> Beginning of the season (until the last Friday of January included):

La Rosière to La Thuile: 16h00 from the ski lifts Bellecombe 1/Bis.
La Thuile to La Rosière: 16h00 from the chairlifts Piccolo San Bernardo Express and Belvedere.

>> End of season (from the last Friday of January to the end of the season):

La Rosière to La Thuile: 16h15 from the ski lifts Bellecombe 1/Bis.
La Thuile to La Rosière: 16h15 from the chairlifts Piccolo San Bernardo Express and Belvedere.

If you are late on any of the above schedules, the amount you will be charged next winter will be:

- Delay strictly less than 5 minutes, tolerance in good weather conditions, no fine.
- For Delays above 5 min (and strictly less than 15min), if weather conditions allow closing the lift after the closingtime (15 minutes max) DSR and FUNIVIE will charge the amount of € 68,00 including taxes.
- More than 15 min delay, or bad weather conditions that do not allow the lift to be closed within 15 minutes afterclosing time, DSR and FUNIVIE may refuse the repatriation of the client repatriation to his ski resort. Costs relatedto the accommodation of this customer will remain at his charge without recourse to the lift operators in anycase.
- In case the lift operators do allow you to use the lift to come back to your side of the ski area over 15 minutesafter closing time, you will be charged a fine of € 276,00 including taxes.

All amounts are per person.

We thank you in advance for your respect of the closing times to keep you and our employees safe.
